The years have flown by and with them a new direction for Mahina Sol!

It’s been quite some time since I’ve taken the time to write a blog post on my website and so much has changed since the last. I entered the new chapter of motherhood when I had a beautiful home birth in 2020. The addition of our daughter Jewel to our family has shifted a lot for us and I found myself having to put Mahina Sol on the back burner. I had been thinking for a while now of shifting gears of my business and discontinuing my sun oils and putting more focus into sharing products created from our sweet organic homestead on the Big Island of Hawai’i.

Well it’s official! After many great years creating my one of a kind coffee cacao sun oil I’ve discontinued the line and am now working on sharing some Hawai’i grown and processed goods from our homestead. First up will be beeswax candles that I make from our beeswax sourced from our two beehives. I’m also currently selling some vintage clothing and housewares on my Etsy shop as that’s been a fun passion of mine for years.

I’d love to start sharing more photos and thoughts with regular blog posts so please stay tuned and mahalo for all the support over the years!

Our newest addition to the family and helper on the homestead, Jewel.

Everything we grow on our homestead is done organically and with the lands health in mind.

Tending to the beehive. I use top bar style and my hives are treatment free.

Fresh roses in Hawai’i who would’ve thought?!

Fresh honey and nectar from the hive. Beeswax will be turned into candles soon available on my website!

A day’s bounty
